Beaver Lake is the first
lake on the White River (System). Beaver Lake is significantly less developed
than competing lakes in the Midwest.
It is holding back 83 miles
of river creating 423 miles of shoreline with 28,000 acres of surface area at
the mean pool level of 1,120 feet above sea level. The Corps of Engineers retains
statistical information of the lake's 7 parks, which in 1999 recorded over a million
visitors.

The Roaring River Fish
Hatchery is located 25 miles north of Eureka Springs and is the oldest trout hatchery
in the State of Missouri. Roaring River State Fish Hatchery produces 165,000 to
210,000 pounds of rainbow trout each year.
Just
20 minutes from Eagle's Bluff is Fayetteville, home to the University of Arkansas.

Beaver Lake has four distinct but mild seasons. Summers average high and low temperatures are 87° and 65°. Winter lows average 29°. Spring flowers and dogwood trees bloom about April 10. Fall colors peak about October 20th.
